Dear Friends,

I want to give you a quick update for how we can hold the Snyder family up in prayer this week.

Upon receiving the results from last week's scan: that there has been growth in the tumors, they have decided to switch to a new chemo.  Christian began treatments on Monday, and has received them each day this week until Friday.  Then he will have 2 weeks off.

As Keri and Christian receive and relay this to their children, their family, all the friends, and as they discuss it with one another, you can imagine what a challenge it is to share difficult news, especially when there are so many unknowns and uncertainties with it.

Praying Psalm 121 reminds me that God is our great Protector.  We want to protect our loved ones from fear, but what a difficult balance, to also share honestly and truthfully, but in love not too transparently, because we want to protect.  While our protection is limited, God's protection is not, because there is nothing that can keep us from His love, and only in Him do we have assurance, and only His promises are certain.

I lift up my eyes to the hills;
from where is my help to come?
My help comes from the Lord,
the maker of heaven and earth.
He will not let your foot be moved
and he who watches over you will not fall asleep.
Behold, he who keeps watch over Israel
shall neither slumber nor sleep;
The Lord himself watches over you;
the Lord is your shade at your right hand,
So that the sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil;
it is he who shall keep you safe.
The Lord shall watch over your going out and
your coming,
form this time forth for evermore.

We also pray that this drug will be effective in targeting the cancer, that it would stop growing;  we pray boldly that the tumors would vanish; we pray for God's mighty hand to heal, and we pray for Christian's body to hold up during the treatment.

Thanks to all of you for joining us in prayer.
Angie
